These terms apply when you visit lockfi.io or use LockFi inside Telegram. By using LockFi, you agree to them. If you don't agree, please don't use LockFi.
Who we are
LockFi is operated by LockFi Ltd, a company incorporated in Hong Kong. You can reach us at support@lockfi.io.
What LockFi is
LockFi is a financial technology app that runs inside Telegram. It offers a non-custodial Wallet, Swap, QR Payments, Visa Cards and eSIM data bundles. Some services, including QR Payments, Cards and eSIM, may be provided by third parties, including the networks your transactions settle on and the providers behind QR Payments, Cards and eSIM, and their own terms may also apply.
Who can use LockFi
- You must be at least 18 years old, or older where that is the age of majority where you live.
- LockFi isn't available in every country. You must not use it where it isn't offered or where the law doesn't allow it.
- QR Payments, Cards and eSIM require you to confirm your email address and verify your identity. The identity check is run by our card provider, Interlace. The Wallet and Swap don't require it.
Your wallet and your key
Your wallet is non-custodial. Its key is split in three: LockFi holds one share, one stays on your phone, and one is your recovery backup. Any two are needed to approve a transaction, so LockFi can't move your funds on its own and transactions only happen when you sign them on your phone. We can't reverse a transaction you have approved, or recover assets sent to the wrong address.
LockFi uses your Telegram account to confirm who you are. You are responsible for keeping your Telegram account and your devices secure.
Your card
LockFi Cards are Visa cards, issued by our card provider, Interlace. You fund a card from your wallet. Once you do, that balance is held by the card provider, not in your wallet, and the card provider's own terms apply to it. Only the money you put on a card is held this way. The rest of your wallet stays non-custodial.
Your eSIM
LockFi eSIMs are data bundles from our eSIM provider, eSIM Go, and eSIM Go's own terms may also apply. You pay for a bundle in USDT on Tron from your wallet balance. To use it, you install it on a compatible, unlocked device. For help with an eSIM, contact us at support@lockfi.io.
Risks
Digital assets can change in value quickly, and you could lose some or all of their value. Transactions on a blockchain are usually final. Network fees, delays and outages can happen and are outside our control. Nothing on lockfi.io or in LockFi is financial, investment, tax or legal advice.
Fees
Any fee that applies is shown in the app before you confirm a transaction.
Acceptable use
You agree not to use LockFi to:
- break any law, including laws on sanctions, money laundering and fraud;
- send or receive funds from illegal activity;
- access another person's account without permission; or
- interfere with, attack or reverse engineer LockFi.
We may restrict or close access to LockFi if we reasonably believe these terms have been broken.
Availability and changes
We work to keep LockFi available, but we can't promise it will always be uninterrupted or error free. LockFi depends on Telegram and on blockchain networks, which we don't control. We may change or discontinue features, and we'll give notice of important changes where we can.
Our content
The LockFi name, website and app, including their design and content, belong to LockFi Ltd. You may not copy or reuse them without our permission.
Liability
LockFi is provided as it is. To the fullest extent the law allows, we are not liable for indirect or consequential loss, for loss of profits or opportunity, or for losses caused by something outside our reasonable control, by a network you transact on, or by your own device, credentials or approvals. Nothing in these terms limits any rights you have under laws that can't be excluded.
Privacy
Our App Privacy Policy explains how we handle your personal information when you use LockFi inside Telegram, and our Privacy Policy covers lockfi.io.
Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of the Hong Kong Special Administrative Region, and the Hong Kong courts have exclusive jurisdiction over any dispute arising from them.
Changes to these terms
We may update these terms from time to time. When we do, we'll change the date at the top, and we'll tell you about important changes before they take effect.
